A mix of 3 rhymes with the same tune in a ‘round’: The famous tune used in 3 different
countries as a different rhyme, France/USA/UK respectively. Each seperate part is song in our
version as a 'round' where one singer starts and each respective singer joins in one bar
later but still at the start of the tune, the resultant mix of tunes gives a natural root,
3rd and 5th harmony. The track concludes with all three lyrics being sung unaccompanied in
a round creating a spectacular effect.
Frère Jacques, Frère Jacques,
Dormez vous? Dormez vous?
Sonnez les matines,
Sonnez les matines,
Ding, ding, dong, ding, ding, dong
Are you sleeping, are you sleeping,
Brother John, Brother John?
Morning bells are ringing,
morning bells are ringing.
Ding, ding, dong, ding, ding, dong
I hear thunder, I hear thunder
Hark don't you? Hark don't you?
Pit-a-patter raindrops
Pit-a-patter raindrops
I'm wet through, So are you
